Overview

The HP PE4240N 42-inch Plasma Enhanced Definition TV features a bright and high-

contrast plasma panel for an unforgettable viewing experience. The new EDTV is less

than 4-inches deep and encased in a stylish piano black cabinet for easy integration to

any décor and installation.

Highlights

• HP Visual Fidelity technology analyzes every pixel of every image for noise

reduction, color enhancement, motion compensation and detail enhancement to

deliver a spectacular picture;

• Resolution: 852 x 480;

• Emmy-Award winning DCDi video processing by Faroujda: Acclaimed DCDi

algorithm detects low-angle lines and smoothes out staircases and jagged edges

– bringing greater realism to sporting events and movies;

• FilmMode Processing with 3.2 and 2.2 pull down accurately reproduces film-

originated content from video sources;

• DVI-D with HDCP enables pure digital video connections to set top boxes, DVD

players and PCs for pure video signals;

• 3D Y/C Digital Comb Filter reduces flickering and enhances color purity in

complex scenes from broadcast and composite signals from a DVD player or

VCR;

• Dual Integrated NTSC tuner for Picture-in-Picture and Split Screen Display;

• Sleek, wall-mountable design;

• Universal remote controls additional components, including HP Media Center

PCs and HP Living Room PCs.

• Supports two selectable audio enhancements:

o BBE High Definition Audio restores clarity and presence for better speech

intelligibility and musical realism;

o SRS WOW creates a bigger, enhanced, audio experience by providing

three dimensional sound, enhancing musical vocals and creating the

perception of deep, rich bass without the need for a subwoofer.
